These are some of types of ADSL services we offer:
Annex M
Annex M is a new type of ADSL which enhances the upload speed typically available from other services. Users need a special router often denoted with an 'M' in the model number. As with all ADSL products the speed is dependent on the distance of your premises from the exchange and, in this case, the service availability at the exchange.
ADSL 2+
ADSL 2+ is a new technology with download speeds of up to 24Mbps for businesses sited close to the exchange. Almost three quarters of customers are able to obtain 16Mbps. Upload speeds are also significantly higher with the 'ADSL 2+ Business' service.
ADSL Max
This variation of ADSL appeared after the introduction of Classic ADSL. Download speeds vary, but can be up to 8Mbps if your site is close enough to the exchange. Business ADSL Max upload speeds can be as high as 832 kbps. Like the maximum download speed, the upload speed is dependent on distance from the exchange and the quality of the line.
LLU ADSL
BT are not the only provider of broadband services to ISP's. LLU (Local Loop Unbundled) providers take ownership of the line, sometimes data services only, and sometimes phone and data services
Service Levels
Business ADSL users that require high levels of uptime should consider carefully the service levels offered by their ADSL provider. First Line Telecom's service gives the customer a guaranteed initial response time (2 hours) with a commitment to clearing the faults well within the following timescales from the time reported.
| Loss of service |
8 business hours (08:00 - 18:00) |
